Composing for Temple Run Legends, with Traz Damji, was all about keeping up with relentless motion. This game moves fast — constantly pushing players forward with speed, urgency, and momentum — and the music had to do the same.
Our goal was pretty simple: write music that feels like it’s running right beside the player.
Temple Run Legends moves fast, so the score had to move fast too. We focused on building energy through rhythm and texture — something that keeps pushing forward without getting in the way. The music reacts to sharp turns, close calls, and sudden bursts of speed, so it always feels connected to what’s happening on screen.
Instead of leaning on big traditional themes, we treated movement itself as the foundation. Layers build, pull back, and shift depending on the moment. Sometimes tension comes from what’s added — sometimes from what drops away.
In this game, every run feels urgent. We wanted the music to carry that same urgency — always moving, always alive, and always supporting the ride.
